Alavés 0-1 Real Madrid Fem (April 17, 2022) - The Stitch

Real Madrid returned to the scene of the crime. The troubles of today come from back then.

It was November and Aznar was fired without a possible defense. The team call against Alavés (first leg) was already beginning to seem normal. And the game was tied at 1, ending the team's first era. Surely that change came a few weeks late.

But it was for the better, because we got on The Torileta. And although the unexpected defeat in Huelva has complicated the numbers, we are still in the fight thanks to Mrs. Fight herself: Esther.

Real had innumerable arrivals in Vitoria, but little success. But Esther never falls apart, and she ended up scoring. And we are still there in the quarrel, and seeing the adjusted results of this week... some team will fail.  But we can no longer have a bad day. It was a good thing that we saved today the day.

Toril came out, after the national team break, with Athenea (she arrived on time, but was far from her best version), Asllani (she was very noticeable, what a pity to have lost her so many games) and Oroz playing in the wing. And we played the first minutes well, with control.

Alavés was already saved mathematically, which allowed them to play without pressure. Never without concentration because his coach did not allow it: he did not stop placing pieces for a single minute.

Then I noted that I missed Nahikari, that being Vitoria the stage, and not being her with our national team, it could be her game. Posting it now is going to sound advantageous, because then Nahi decided. But it was true that one more point was missing this morning.

We had chances, but none really clear. Rocío prevailed in the aerial game: she continues to grow. Lucía had some good appearance jumping lines, it was missed that Olga had more success on her side.

The first part ended with a one-on-one from Esther, who was unable to score. Esther never gives up, we told ourselves convinced that there would be more options.

And then Nahikari came out. And in her first touch (and it is necessary to remark it a lot, because it is not only important to score the goal, but also to provide it), Nahi served Esther.

And the first goal came. With the adjusted result we had some bad moment, but more mental than real.
