Alcaraz and the new Real Madrid

I had read about Carlos Alcaraz more than I had seen him, and what I watched last night was an animal. A beast created to play the game of tennis... but with a lot to polish. Accustomed to Nadal for so many years, and especially the last decade to the mature Nadal, Alcaraz's aggressiveness was surprising, for better and for worse. His hoots that lift the stands, his passion, but also haste and rude mistakes. He risked it when the game put the worst face on him in the third set, and it worked out more than well.

Nadal beats you for quality, obviously, but also for tactics, for giving you everything back, for punishing your flaws and for his incredible and unmatched mental strength. Alcaraz is something else, especially he is much younger, and that is tremendous because it means that he can still improve much more. He will win many, many big tournaments.

And here I make the jump to Real Madrid. Nadal would be more the CMK, with Casemiro's corrections, Kroos' pause or acceleration, Modric's fight and magic, the Croatian's fight and beauty of our hymn. "Until the end", Real Madrid is pure Rafa. And now we are mutating: Tchou, Camavinga, Valverde... youth and exuberance, not without quality. A new kingdom that can also be lasting. In fact... at Real Madrid Kroos and Modric are still there, which is as if Alcaraz could play with Nadal's brain and fight in the moments that require it.
