When many fans wanted Villa, to go fight against that powerful Barça (and that he didn't precisely sign for Barcelona), Madrid signed a young Frenchman from O. Lyon. Florentino's fourth, some press called him, because there had already been other signifcant additions already that summer of 2009.

The video is perfect, because you can just hear the "veterans and newcomers" in the background and although Vini does not realize it, they are starring in the anthem.

Karim is the veteran who gives his last services to make the club -that has served him to be so enormous- even bigger. It's something that Real Madrid does with a select few, like Karim or Luka: reward all their effort by turning them into legends.

They will leave the Bernabéu between tears of every last proton, electron and neutrino. Benzema is not only culminating his career leaving tremendous games, but he is making Vini grow, giving him strategy and game vision (we can see that, yesterday, in the first goal). And everything indicates that he is the great supporter, the best manager of the club, in bringing Kylian Mbappe.

Benzema is not only important in his goals or assists, but in his total dimension as an indispensable piece of current Real Madrid and, in some way, the foundation of Real Madrid to come in the next years.
