Well, it seems that Super Leagues can be created without the children suffering, without anyone throwing their hands in their heads and even with good intentions.
The new African Super League (to start in 2023) has been officially announced. From Wikipedia in English, we can read that...
- The essence of holding this tournament is the huge financial returns that will exceed the barrier of 200 million dollars, which will be used to develop and improve stadiums, infrastructure and the promotion of football in Africa.
- All participants will be required to have a youth academy and a women’s team as part of their club licensing criteria
So... a new competition will be created that aspires to be one of the most recognizable in the world. It comes to mind that only 2 African teams have been part of the last EA Sports FIFA videogame, It will be one of the things that will surely change.
There will be more money to be used for stadium and infrastructure improvements in a depressed continent. And even more... teams will be forced to have a youth team and a women's team!
Anyone who doesn't want to understand that the world of football is changing... should be start studying again
