Modric: the player of the decade

In such demanding tournaments, where passing or being eliminated is sometimes a matter of very minor things, a service sheet like Modric's is an anomaly
And that's because Luka Modric is not an anomaly, he is THE anomaly with capital letters, because Luka Modric is the player of the decade. And, therefore, one of those who are already in the pantheon of great players in history, and of Real Madrid, which is often the same.
Since 2012, Messi has only won one UCL to 5 by Modric. And Luka, with Croatia!, adds a World Cup runner-up, and now being a semifinalist. Messi, however, has barely won titles with Argentina despite having shared a generation with Di Maria, Kun Agüero, Pipita, Mascherano, Banega, Otamendi or Dybala. Not a little thing. They plus the young Messi, who was obviously a fascinating player. He's still fabulous.
And it is not convenient, as Real Madrid fans, to detract from Messi, because precisely having won what we have won at European level has enormous value due to the power of our rivals.
Going to Modric, only Kroos, Cristiano or Benzema, for obvious reasons, can come close to the greatness of his titles. But while Cristiano has been declining for a few years, Luka remains. Karim has had a terrific year, but for most of the decade he was sub-par and with his national team he couldn't prove his worth. Kroos is the watchmaker, but he does not have the leadership that Modric does have in his selection.
But is that... if something was missing... Luka is a father. He is the father of brazucas
And now Luka has a mission: to save football again. We love you Modric!
