Real Madrid Femenino: Liga Iberdrola, what remains, the numbers

Let's go with the numbers of what we have left to play in Liga Iberdrola.

The failure in Huelva makes us have to go to the abacus and the calculator. You have to put the situation on the table. There are few games left for us (and two postponed, counting the Queen's Cup). We are virtually tied with Atleti and Granadilla, if we win our game against Rayo. But Atleti starts with an advantage in that case (damn defeat in Huelva, I insist)

What is left for each?

Real Madrid: Rayo (out, postponed). Alaves (out). Madrid CFF (home). Valencia (out). Villarreal (home)

Atlético de Madrid: Athletic (home), Levante (away), Eibar (home), Barcelona (away)

Granadilla: Eibar (home), Athletic (away), Real Sociedad (home), Levante (away)

The good news: we played against 4 of the 6 worst teams in the league, plus Alavés, where we have to play it with everything, with everything.

We have a much better schedule than our rivals.

The bad news: Apart from the fact that we don't depend on ourselves... what will be more important to Barça... making history by making 38 of 38, or leaving Real Madrid out of Europe?

I've left Real Sociedad out, although they could get in trouble if they lose in Seville as they still have to visit Tenerife. Granadilla has lost the tiebreakers with both Atleti and Real.

These are the results among the 3 in contention:

Real Madrid 0 - 2 Atletico Madrid Atletico Madrid 0 - 2 Real Madrid

Real Madrid 2 - 0 Granadilla Granadilla 1-1 Real Madrid

Granadilla 1-1 Atletico Madrid Atletico Madrid 4-1 Granadilla

It would be a huge setback for the club not to play in the next UWCL. In terms of morale, to attract players, to make fans, for the new Bernabéu. We are not a team that settles for aubameyanging around Europe on Thursdays, nor does the UEL exist for women, not yet (hopefully there will be a women's Super League in the short term, the sport demands it)

Let's trust in the unreliability of Atlético (it's not in vain that we're competing here, despite our abominable start to the season) but we shouldn't have missed their week failure, that would have put them in huge doubts to see us already there.

Oh, damn break of selections. Team, come back soon.
