Real Madrid Basketball: A story of success, beauty, sacrifice, pride. The first article on this website dedicated to basketball had to coincide with an event. But which?

Not all Madrid fans are aware of the immense history of this section. Yesterday, March 23, the official Twitter account celebrated the 47th anniversary of the 17th league. Today -March 24, 2022- we woke up with the memory of the 10th league, 54 years ago. Wikipedia has an epigraph of "summarized honors" because without summarizing it is complicated. 144 titles, not counting friendlies, highlighting 35 leagues, 10 European Cups, 5 Intercontinental Cups.

Saporta, Ferrandiz, Lolo, Herreros, Laso... just to name a few significant names.

Being impossible to distinguish between so much history, I have resorted to the plastic, a minor image perhaps, but indelible in my memory: Slaughter's Jump. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UmU-1SoCl0c

Marcus and his jump is Real Madrid: I am the struggle, I am the beauty, as Jabois wrote. And it reminds us of great years of lasismo: with Llull, with the Doncic boy, with Rudy, with the indefatigable Felipe, with the Jaycee machine.

Long live the b-a-s-k-e-t.
