The new challenges

Before the matches and the emotions return, we wanted to publish a post about the future of the web. To start... a thank you. Thank you because the best part of summer is coming and we can write about new challenges. That means that this page has had an acceptable reception and that we renew for another season.

However, we started with bad omens: the darkness before the light returns. Suddenly Real Madrid began to lose even in Basketball. The idea of ​​taking a modest page of analysis of the first three teams (and claiming the fourth) was growing during the beginning of the year and ended up bearing fruit .... at the worst time. Defeat in the league with Barça, infamous streak in basketball, huge uphill in women's football. You know how all that ended... we have wrote about one of the most memorable years of our club. And we feel very happy about it.

In pre-season we will follow our teams with a mojito and the smell of saltpeter. Slowly and letting things grow. We will leave the chronicles of this magnificent past season in a prominent place, and we will bet on 22-23 for the slow weekly summary, the stitch that we call around here, to create the picture -which paints what will be beautiful- of the new season .

We have also been watching what you like, what invites you more to click. Not so much immediacy as constructive criticism. Not so much what is already offered elsewhere, but another point of view. We have grown mainly thanks to Twitter. We will adapt for it. The page will change during the summer (sorry if one day there is no new entry or something fails). We will enable a "Story that you made" space in which we are going to use the hook of the club's tweets on outstanding ephemeris to gradually complete the history of Real Madrid here in our own way. Also without hurry, because it is huge.

"The club needs a Santiaguina", we thought back then when things went wrong. Hence the name was born. And we end the year paying homage (all together, thanks to this magnificent colective of players) to Don Santiago and Saporta, Ferrándiz, Juanito's spirit, Valdano's stage fright, unexpectedly rocky defenses, impossible goals, Brazilian joy.
