Well, no: they weren't lame

Well no, they weren't lame. It turns out that the 15 substitutes have performed better than expected, to the misfortune of all the inventors and storytellers.

Some people with bad intentions said we were going to lose, that the match versus USA was going to be ridiculous. And what has resulted is that they have motivated the dragon: The white dragon. We will see a lot of cable returning back, there will be no other option for them. Because they were going to sell that Real Madrid had killed women's football, and the Spanish team. But then our players have won the match with the best number of people watching the game in the stadium in history for the national team. 

And, on top of that, the 15 genious have revived Vilda. You have to be clumsy!

What pride, what immense pride of our players in the Spanish National Team. Disregarded, undervalued, by the press and by fellow athletes, the 15 who do not fit have beaten the United States. Some clever culé supporter already backed down before the game, seeing that drawing with Sweden did not seem like a coincidence, pointing out that the USA... was no longer like the good USA. I loved reading it, because that's what always happens to Real Madrid: if they beat Eintracht, for example, they're no longer a good Frankfurt.

All great news.

Let's imagine that the RFEF had backed down and the 15 infamous had played the game. And then they would have won. Ours players would be marked, unfairly but it would be so. The good ones have come back, that's how you win, and several creative headlines we would have read. 

Dammit, storytellers!

We must be magnanimous, now. Real Madrid is. We must open the doors to the ones departed, accepting that nothing will ever be the same as before. For example... because Ivana Andrés has given an example of captaincy and knowing how to be on and off the field.
